About Us

Founded in 1980 by Drew Hawes & Terry Jackson, Tri-State Micrographics, Inc., now trading as the Data Image Group and Digital Surveillance Systems, began as a records management service bureau specializing in micrographics. The company provided quality products and microfilm services for clients in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. In 1982 COM (computer output microfiche) was added as a service. As technology advanced and changed the industry, we changed also. In 1996 we added document scanning and COLD (computer output to CD) technologies as outsourcing services. In 1999, document destruction, the shredding and recycling of paper, film and magnetic media was added. In 2000, the company became an authorized reseller of Digitech System's suite of electronic imaging software products and of ImageSilo®, a secure document storage and web-based retrieval solution that provides the ability to access any document, anywhere, anytime from a standard web browser without any software costs.   . In 2003 we added another chapter in our technological evolution. We became an authorized dealer for Eye Digital’s line of video surveillance systems, including RECON law enforcement products, and in 2004 we added the GSS line of video surveillance systems, software, cameras and accessories. Data Image Group and Digital Surveillance Systems, is dedicated to delivering high quality digital video technology to our customers.  Our technical services specialize in helping our clients with their video solutions and products. We also provide training for our products.

Our operation facilities are located at 101D East Baltimore Street in Hagerstown, MD. It includes our Micrographics Division, Imaging Division, Film Processing Laboratory, Document Destruction Division, Digital Video Surveillance Division and warehouse.
